Daggupati Venkatesh film career:

Daggupati Venkatesh (Venky) has everything at his disposal that a debutant-actor dreams about. A producer-dad popularly known as 'Star Producer' Dr D Rama Naidu is doyen of Tollywood, a brother as a mega producer D Suresh Babu and their production company has completed 100 block-blusters made in all regional languages within a span 35 years and entered into Guinness book of records. But yet, he was a reluctant to the tinsel world. Venky, after obtaining an M B A in the U.S., returned to look after the family business. But destiny willed otherwise and on the advice of his father, he took to acting.Very few film stars will have the luck of giving a super hit with their first film. The lucky star Venki is twice lucky because not only his first film ‘Kaliyuga Pandavulu’ but also his first Hindi film 'Anari' was a superhit. Venkatesh debuted through Kaliyuga Pandavulu in the year 1986. The movie was not only a hit but also got him his first Nandi award, which is a rare accomplishment for an actor who has just completed his debut film.Venky, macho, handsome and brawny, has not only luck favoring him but also has an inherent talent which seems to flower film after film. Non controversial, casual, calm and charming, he is all that and more.

Victory Venkatesh:

‘Victory’ very much indicates what he achieved through his films. Having donned a variety of characters from that of a lover boy in 'Preminchukundam Raa' to the dual role of a father and son in 'Suryavamsam' and that of an intense and socially conscious journalist in 'Ganesh', Venkatesh has been able to get kudos both from the classes and masses. He also has a natural streak of comedy in him, which revels his admirers ranging from puny little kids to adoring adolescents and appreciating adults. It’s his commitment towards his work and uncompromising audacity in venturing into the risky and the slippery plots that catapulted him to the abode he now occupies among the all time greats. From the regular masala movies to meaningful roles in other commercials, Venky has come a long way. Today he is one actor who is in the top bracket in Telugu cinema, to defy the viscid word called 'image'. Take his recent films, 'Intlo illalu vantintlo priyuralu', 'Pavithrabandam' apart from ofcourse the award winning films 'Darmachakram', 'Ganesh', they are without the gimmicks or fiery fights. We don't see the angry young man as he was known earlier, but as a man next door. And the trend continued with block busters such as 'Preminchukundam raa', 'Premante Idera', 'Raja', 'Jayammanadera and 'Kalisundam Raa' which is the biggest hit in 70 years of Telugu Cinema.

He is riding high on the crest of success both as an artiste of caliber and as a box-office.
